the question basically ask it all.

my fridge SMELLS. it reeks. how do i stop it? i don’t wanna open it.. it will stink up the whole room…
my friend gave me baking soda. does that really work?
oh btw, this is in college.. if that helps.. or it might doesn’t matter..

ALSO, my shoes… stinks. it usually doesn’t. any tips to get rid of the smell?

Without opening the fridge there is no way to get rid of the smell. First thing to do is remove all the food and wash the inside down to make sure there is no blood or food residue left in it. Make the final rinse a baking soda and water solution. Turn the fridge back on and if it is still smelling bad, set a small bowl of vanilla in it. Change the vanilla every two days for a week and the smell should be gone for good. After that don’t let food stay so long t rots and don’t let blood, from meat, drip down and stay in the fridge. For your shoes wrap a couple of charcoal briquettes in paper and put them in your shoes whenever you’re not wearing them. Change the briquettes out every two weeks. Don’t have to throw them away. They can still be used on the grill.

spray inside your shoes with deodorant, that should get rid of the smell.

The fridge needs switching off for an hour or so and then cleaning. Washing up liquid and warm water should work. Using the baking soda to clean would also work.

If you don’t want to open the fridge, throw it out.

If the shoes smell bad, you may be able to get a few more wears out of them with odor eating insoles. This is a short term fix.
