What are the best shoes for stinky feet?

My 12 year old daughter wears Airwalk sneakers that are cutesy and plaid…sort of skater style. This is the 3rd pair she has had, and since she started wearing this style of sneaker, her feet have started being really rank! Like, knock you flat on your hiney stanky. I don't know if it's her age or the shoes or what. Any thoughts on what I can do to bring peace into our nasty smelling household?

If Crocs are too informal, I suggest the Dansko-style clogs which have served me very well. Where fully-closed shoes used to get stinky before they got worn out, the clogs last almost forever with nary a whiff of odor.

    Make sure she washes her feet a least 2 times a day, wear cotton socks and be sure to use a foot powder in her shoes. Its probably from being active and sweating.
